Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn told the press at the TCA, “We’re developing a new iteration of Prison Break. We’re really excited. We’ll be happy to share when we have more. We definitely have one in development.”
It’s unclear if the show’s stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and Sarah Wayne Callies will be involved in the new iteration, but Fox Chairman and CEO Gary Newman told EW, “No, it would not be an entirely new cast. It’s very early at this stage. Paul Scheuring had an idea for another season, and he came and pitched it to Michael and the team. They were excited about it, but it’s super early. We haven’t seen any written materials at all.”
Prison Break aired originally from 2005 to 2009, and then a fifth season aired in 2017.
